2026-2027 leadership

President Keegan Divens ‘27 enters his fourth year on the team and second year in an elected position, serving as Junior Captain last year. Starting his rowing career at Culver Academies in Indiana, Keegan brings a crucial level of knowledge and spirit to the stroke seat of our 1V8, showing excellent leadership in and out of the boat. Keegan is a proud Hoosier who plans to attend medical school after Boston College.

Fun Fact: When he wasn’t doing research or putting down meters on the erg this summer, Keegan won a season 10 3v3 Rocket League Gold Tournament!

Baird first started rowing at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, where he fell in love with the sport and decided he wanted to continue in college. He made an immediate impact as an oarsman for BC, leading the Men’s Novice 4+ crew to the Grand Finals of the 2025 Dad Vail Regatta as the stroke seat. As the Vice President, Baird assists the President with all official duties, and serves as a manager of the team’s social media accounts. Off the water, Baird serves the Boston College community as an RA and a life guard at the Margot Connell Recreation Center.

Fun Fact: Baird’s favorite dining hall treat is chocolate chip blondie which he affectionately refers to as a “brookie”

Growing up, Jaycek was a competitive tennis player and an avid skier. Coming to Boston College, he knew he wanted to row due to his appreciation for the sport’s rhythm and discipline. In his novice season, he rowed in the N4+ that ultimately placed 8th nationally at ACRAs. Outside of rowing, he is on the e-board of the Cooking Club and is also a cohort member of Boston College’s Credit & Restructuring and Venture Capital & Private Equity organizations. In his free time, he loves to ski, travel, and hike, and he is currently training for a triathlon with his brother, a USAF Pilot.

Fun Fact: Jaycek has lived in 7 different places and has traveled to 20 countries and 40 U.S. states.

Nate began his rowing career in high school, competing with Greenwich Crew before making the transition to collegiate rowing with BC. He is a critical member of our leadership team: supporting his class as a Senior Co-Captain, assisting the parents of our athletes as the Parent Coordinator, and expanding our digital presence as the team’s primary Social Media Coordinator. When he’s not at boathouse, Nate works as a campus representative for Crew Dog, a small custom clothing brand.

Fun Fact: This spring, Nate spent a semester abroad in Scotland.

Matt Dillon walked onto the team as a sophomore in 2024, and has never looked back since. He made an immediate impact upon joining the team, competing in a varsity 8 just weeks after learning the sport in the four before leading the Novice 4+ to the grand finals of the Dad Vail Regatta. When he’s not setting the rhythm for starboard side in 7 seat, Dillon serves the team with his writing prowess, helping develop “The Catch” a monthly newsletter summarizing past regattas and setting the scene for the team’s season objectives going forward. He also supports the team in his role as Senior Co-Captain, providing experience and mentorship to the entire crew.

Dean walked onto the team with no previous rowing experience in 2024, making his first appearance at a major regatta in the Novice 4+ of the 2025 Dad Vail Regatta as the two-seat. As the junior captain, he provides support to the underclassmen and works with fellow junior Kiera Mackenzie to keep the website up to date. Outside the boathouse, Dean is a Director of Trips and Excursions within the Boston College Campus Activities Board, and an Associate Editor for The Gavel, a Boston College student newspaper.

Fun Fact: Dean is a dual citizen and owns both an American and an Albanian passport!
