Head Coach Brendan Mulvey Medals at Worlds

Coach Mulvey trained with the Lightweight 8+ Men's Camp this summer at Community Rowing Inc. The team qualified unopposed at Mercer Lake in a quick 5:51, earning a birth to the World Championships in Chungju, South Korea. The eight placed second in their time trial, three seconds off of Italy and in front of Australia in 5:49. In the final, the eight took third place in 6:10, earning bronze medals at the international level.

Keane Johnson to Represent the US at WUGS

Congratulations to Keane Johnson '13 on his selection to the USRowing University Games Men's Eight. Keane earned his seat from a selection camp held at Community Rowing. The Eight will race at Elite Nationals from June 26-28th and Kazan, Russia from July 6-8th. The crew features members from Marist, George Washington, UCLA, UCSB, Pitt, Wisconsin, Minnesota, MIT, OCKU and Drexel. For more information visit http://www.wugusa.com/rowing/

The World University Games, also known as Universiade is an international multi-sports event for university athletes which is organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The first World University Games took place in Paris in May 1923 at the initiative of Frenchman Jean Petitjean. From 1949, the Games were held under the auspices of FISU.
